Karter’s professional background spans economic development, business development, marketing communications, project coordination, research, and strategy. He has supported strategy and research engagements across domestic and international markets.
Before joining Bâton Global, Karter worked in technology business development, supporting information technology decision makers, building client relationships, conducting market outreach, and connecting organizations with contract resources.
Karter earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drake University, with majors inMarketing and Management, graduating magna cum laude. While at Drake, he served as captain of the university’s Division I golf team. He is active in civic and international leadership through the Iowa International Center, World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Hub in Des Moines, and Rotary Club of Des Moines.
