Dr. Douglas Bujakowski is an insurance expert, credentialed actuary, and senior consultant who helps organizations use actuarial and statistical methods to analyze complex data and inform decision-making.
Douglas brings deep expertise in actuarial science, statistical modeling, insurance market development, and applied research. He helps translate technical analysis into practical insight that supports strategy, planning, and decision-making.
Douglas has served as an actuarial research consultant for industry organizations, applying actuarial and statistical methods to real-world business and insurance questions. He has also shared his expertise through industry speaking engagements focused on insurance, climate risk, cooperative finance, and actuarial analysis.
Douglas is the Dr. Thomas V. O’Brien Distinguished Professor in Actuarial Mathematics at Bowling Green State University and a Fellow in the Insurance and Risk Management Institute. His work includes applied research in insurance market development, law and economics, longitudinal modeling, and spatial modeling.
Douglas earned a Ph.D. in Risk and Insurance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.
