Jason Edwards is an accomplished personal coach, leadership consultant, and retired U.S. Army Colonel with over three decades of experience in strategic operations, organizational training, and organizational leadership. He specializes in partnering with individuals and corporate clients to enhance leadership capabilities, optimize communication, and synchronize strategic initiatives.
Jason began his military career with the Iowa Army National Guard in1989. Following the events of September 11, 2001, he transitioned to full-time service, executing two overseas deployments and commanding at multiple echelons. His landmark leadership roles include serving as Squadron Commander,Commanding Officer of the Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center, and concluding his service as the Director of Operations, Plans, Training, andSecurity for the Iowa Army National Guard. He officially retired from military service in July 2024.
Prior to his full-time military service, Jason established a foundational career in corporate and agricultural finance, working for several years in the finance sector. This unique blend of corporate financial acumen and high-stakes military leadership informs his data-driven, results-oriented coaching philosophy.
Based in Urbandale, Iowa, Jason is an active cyclist and trail enthusiast. He resides with his wife of over 20 years, Kristi, and their two teenage children.
An advocate for continuous professional development, Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Banking from Buena Vista University, an MBA from Drake University, and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies. Upon returning to the private sector, he earned his Certified Professional Coach (CPC) credential, along with advanced certifications in the Myers-Briggs TypeIndicator (MBTI) and Hogan Assessment Systems, enabling him to deliver deep, psychometric-backed insights to evolving leaders.
