Dan Israel is an operations and strategy executive with more than 15 years of experience helping complex, relationship-driven organizations turn strategy into execution. His career spans large public corporations, venture-backed startups, and mission-driven organizations across financial services, retail, and advanced manufacturing.
Dan works with corporate leadership teams, growth-stage companies, and organizations navigating transition on strategy activation, operating model design, and growth initiatives — building the structure, cadence, and accountability that close the distance between an ambitious plan and the disciplined execution required to deliver it.
Dan's background spans enterprise strategy, corporate innovation, finance, operations, and board governance.
Most recently, Dan served as Managing Director of the Global Insurance Accelerator, a carrier-backed venture accelerator with a portfolio of nearly 90 companies. He was responsible for strategy creation and execution, P&L leadership, carrier sponsor and investor growth, and board management.
Earlier, Dan led enterprise innovation strategy at Principal Financial Group, partnering with business unit leaders on growth and transformation initiatives. He held finance leadership roles at Target and began his career at Rolls-Royce.
Dan earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. He serves on the board of the Vaughan Institute at the University of Iowa.
