Dr. Farbod Farhadi is Bâton Global’s Chief Data Scientist with deep expertise in data science, business analytics, mathematical programming, and predictive modeling. He helps organizations use advanced analytics and evidence-based insight to improve decision-making, strengthen strategy, and address complex business challenges.
Farbod brings experience across academic, public-sector, private-sector, and industrial environments. His work spans business intelligence, predictive modeling, operations research, complex networks, and economic forecasting.
Farbod has held industry roles including project planning manager and lead data scientist, and has supported public and private clients in building business intelligence systems using advanced analytics and predictive modeling tools.
Farbod is an Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics and Quantitative Methods at Babson College, where his research focuses on applications of data science and mathematical programming in healthcare, aviation, transportation, and complex network systems. Prior to Babson, he was an Associate Professor of Management and Director of the MBA program at Roger Williams University, where he initiated the business analytics program.
Farbod earned a Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management, a Master of Science from Shahid Beheshti University, and a Bachelor of Science from BuAli Sina University.
